Teach St. Louis is designed as an immersive and intensive experience, preparing new teachers to be effective on day one in the classroom. Residents are typically at their partner school from 7:30 until 4:30 each day. They attend graduate-level classes with Teach St. Louis for a full-day each Friday and one evening during the week. Participants often complete coursework and lesson planning in the afternoons and evenings. The residency program is a challenging full-time commitment, and participants must meet the expectations of their work as a co-teacher at their partner school and their certification coursework with Teach St. Louis.
