Caity Simon, Senior Instructional Faculty

Caity is a founding member of the Teach St. Louis team and is deeply proud of the work partner schools and districts are doing to deliver on the promise of public education in our community. At Teach St. Louis, Caity oversees the development of mentor teachers in their support of residents, and provides coaching to program participants pursuing enrolled in a Masters pathway. She began her career as a middle school ELA teacher in the Mississippi Delta with Teach for America, where her students held the highest year-end assessment scores of any secondary discipline in the district each year she was in the classroom. She later worked as a curriculum developer and instructional coach for Achievement First in her hometown of New Haven, Connecticut. She is a graduate of Bard College, where she earned a degree in Political Studies and Human Rights, with a concentration in Gender and Sexuality studies.
