Sydney Held, Instructional Faculty

Sydney has a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction through the University of Kansas. Sydney taught fourth grade at Brookside Charter School in Kansas City for five years. Sydney has been working for Teach St. Louis since 2020 and has been working to support our organization in providing high-quality teachers to our students in St. Louis City schools. Additionally, Sydney is a LETRS certified trainer and has a passion for supporting our teachers in understanding and implementing literacy best practices.

Sydney lives with her husband and daughter. In her free time she enjoys spending time outside, reading, cooking and birding.
